Brow Services

At The Koa Studio, I specialize in crafting brows tailored to your unique features. Whether you’re seeking to restore shape after years of over-plucking, correct asymmetry, or regain your brows following chemotherapy, alopecia, or hormonal changes, my work is rooted in artistry and precision.

My philosophy is simple: you should leave my studio looking like your most confident self — natural, timeless, and elevated. Each detail is designed to restore what’s been lost and enhance what’s already there, so your brows become an effortless extension of your beauty.

Every service includes a thorough consultation, your initial appointment, a 6–8 week refinement session, and premium aftercare products — because achieving your dream brows should be a luxurious, seamless experience from start to finish.

Koa's Signature Powder Brow Service

Powder Brow Procedure

Kiss Your Pencil Goodbye!!

The most popular service at Koa. Shading is strategically placed throughout the brow creating an all over depth. I do not use harsh lines instead create an airy, super natural look. This allows clients to ditch the makeup once and for all.

Powder Brow Procedure

Combination Hair stroke + Shading

Combination Brow Procedure

The Best of Both Worlds

Using Koa's hair stroke and shading technique hair strokes are added strategically mimicking the look of real hair and shading is added in between to create the look of "bulk" giving the new brow a 3D effect.

Who is this best for?

  • Loves a super natural look.

  • Dry to Normal, Not Oily or Combo

  • People who do not have sensitive skin, skin that bleeds easily or have scarring issues.

  • People who are not overly active and sweat a lot.

  • People who do not mind more frequent touch ups due to hair strokes fading faster than shading.

Corrective Work

At The Koa Studio, I take corrective work very seriously to ensure the best possible outcome and protect the integrity of your skin. I only accept clients for Brow services who have had previous work if the pigment is at least 70% faded, the skin is in healthy condition.

To be considered for corrective work, please submit clear photos of your current brows — including front and both side angles — taken in natural lighting.

You can easily do this by filling out the form on the Book Online page and uploading your photos directly through the form. Once received, I’ll review your images and determine whether a correction is possible.

FAQ

Do you do Microblading?

After almost 8 years in the industry I am very picky about who I will do Microblading on. I will still be offering it but I will also be offering nano brows. Overall I feel Microblading heals well on a very small group of people and the majority of people heal out with a blurred look overtime. I do feel that in some cases Microblading can cause more damage, scar tissue and it requires the most upkeep for clients. I will only perform Microblading on clients who have been thoroughly assessed and fit the skin type of a client who will heal successfully with this technique. What service is the best for you will be decided during your initial virtual consultation when we go into depth of what works best for your unique skin.

What is Nano Brows?

Nano brows is the newest technique on the market to create hair strokes. Hair strokes are placed into the skin precisely with pigment and a machine. This is a much safer and gentler technique on the skin and has better retention overtime when compared to microblading. The results are hyper-realistic and natural. Can be used on clients with or without hair.

I have no idea what service is best for me?

Who can have this procedure done?

These procedures are ideal for anyone looking to enhance their eyebrows no matter how much or little eyebrow hair you currently have. Depending on lifestyle, skin type and aesthetic certain procedures will benefit you more than others. Your brow artist will have an in-depth consultation to decide what procedure works best for you. For a list of disqualifying conditions or questions please email kieran@koalash.com.

What disqualifies someone from getting this done?

You may not be a candidate if you: Are pregnant or breastfeeding Are under 18 years old Have uncontrolled diabetes or certain autoimmune conditions that affect healing Are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation (consult your doctor first) (Must wait a minimum of 3 months after chemotherapy) Have taken Accutane (isotretinoin) within the past year Have active eczema, psoriasis, or open sores in the brow area Have very oily or thin, fragile skin, which can affect pigment retention (Exceptions can be made) Are prone to keloid scarring Have had recent Botox, filler, or chemical peels (please wait at least 4 weeks) Are using blood-thinning medications or supplements that cannot be paused before treatment. (Exceptions can be made) Have had previous brow tattooing that is not at least 70% faded (requires review and approval before booking)

How long will it last?

Some procedures last longer then others. The powder brow treatment heals the best and lasts the longest.  There is no guarantee on how long it will last as each person has different skin and lifestyle. After your initial complimentary touch up it is recommended to come in on a annual basis to receive an enhancement session.  That being said in a year most clients will still have pigment but it will be faded. The goal will be to wait until the color is 60+ % faded so that at touch up more can be placed into the skin and still maintain a natural look long term.

How many appointments until they are done?

You will come in for your initial appointment and then come in for a 6-8 touch up (perfecting session.) From the first to the second appointment you will experience a 20-40% fade that occurs as the skin heals. Oily skin tends to fade more than dry skin. The touch up appointment addresses any fading, etc. It is also a great time to add more (go darker, thicker, etc.)

Do you remove my eyebrow hair?

It is the goal at every procedure to work with and keep the client's existing brow hair, however, light tweezing can occur around the decided shape. No hair is ever removed without the client's consent.

How do you figure out the shape?

The shaping part of the appointment is the most important part. If your artist does not get the shape right they should not proceed to do your brows. I spend as much time as needed to get this right. I use your bone structure, the golden ratio, current placement of your brows (if you have hair) and your overall desire for the look you want to achieve. It is a partnership so no shape is placed on your face without your complete approval.

What is included in upfront costs and do I have to pay this every year?

Your upfront cost includes in depth consultation, initial appointment, 6-8 week perfecting session and aftercare kit.  Once you are a current client of Koa you will switch to a touch up fee scale. It is recommended that you wait until a year to come in for a touch up. It can be damaging to the skin to come in before a year. If a client wants to come in for a touch up before a year there has to be sufficient reasoning (ex. extremely oily skin, etc).   Any additional touch up 6-8 weeks after the procedure is completed (first and perfecting session) will be charged $100.

Touch Up Prices

These prices are for CURRENT CLIENTS ONLY. Any new client regardless of past work will be charged full price.  0-15 months- $300 15-30 months- $400 30+ months- (no previous touch ups)- Full price

Does it hurt?

Each client will be pre-numbed for 20 minutes before the procedure. A topical numbing will be applied throughout the procedure to keep client's numb.

What is the before and aftercare for procedures?

Before care procedures are the same for every client but aftercare is created individually for each client.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

Bring and photos of eyebrows that you like. Wear the normal make-up you wear so we can see your shape and color preferences. Do not wax, tweeze or thread eyebrows for a minimum of a week before procedure. Avoid blood thinning medications (ibuprofen, aspirin, niacin, fish oil) for a minimum of 2 days prior to your procedure. Keep alcohol intake to a minimum of 2 days prior to and after your procedure.
